Wyoming’s Public Media highlights Jeffrey Brown’s (Director of Energy Economics at the University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute) analysis for proposed connectivity of carbon capture and storage sites in the U.S.

Jeff Brown, the Director of Energy Economics at the University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute was featured in a news piece focusing on a new analysis of carbon capture and storage (CCS) to mitigate climate change.

Brown’s analysis models the economics of connecting carbon capture sites across the U.S. with underground storage sites, thus helping to reduce the cost of preventing climate change. 

Brown states that Wyoming will significantly benefit from CCS, through capturing industry CO₂ emissions, utilizing the CO₂ and storing the CO₂ underground.  Brown says that “Wyoming has cheap locally mined coal and an innovative oil industry that can put the carbon underground.”
