George Koperna

Mr. Koperna is a petroleum engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the operational and reservoir aspects of primary, secondary, and tertiary recovery operations, with an emphasis on unconventional resources (coalbed methane, shale oil and gas, and tight gas), CO2-EOR, and gas storage applications. Mr. Koperna is a long-time volunteer to the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He has served on the SPE International Board of Directors (2006-2009), the CCUS Technical Section, and the CO2 Storage Resources Committee. Mr. Koperna holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University.
